Diversity Development Fund (DDF) Campaign - ITVS

Supporting Emerging Filmmakers through Funding Opportunities

To promote ITVS’ Diversity Development Fund to up-and-coming filmmakers ahead of the application deadline, I designed a suite of graphics for various social media channels and the ITVS newsletter. The assets aimed to graphically represent ITVS’ supportive relationship with filmmakers while highlighting past DDF recipients.

Design Process

For the ITVS Diversity Development Fund campaign, I collaborated with the VP of Marketing to define goals and target young, diverse filmmakers. After visual research and initial sketches, I refined ideas with feedback from designers and the Art Director, ultimately presenting three concepts to the VP for review.

Round 1

Option 1: A bold use of type and shape, featuring a DDF filmmaker

Option 2: Revealing the camera with the ITVS droplet, highlighting handheld, trendy filmmaking.

Option 3: Striking illustration highlights the scrappy nature of independent filmmaking

Round 2

Option 1: Type-forward design with a expanded shapes and colors to represent the diversity of filmmakers and stories.

Option 2: Vibrant colors and expanded shapes add more energy and youthful spirit, featuring a DDF filmmaker.

Final Deliverables

After multiple rounds of review, the design was pared down to feature only the ITVS droplet, with bands of color flowing over and through it, with options both with and without featured filmmakers. Once finalized, I versioned the assets for various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and the ITVS newsletter, and delivered them to the Marketing team for rollout.
